Companies test devices on Geekbench, a benchmarking app, to get insight into their performance prior to release. When this happens, the numbers get stored on the platform as it helps for comparison purposes, but this also makes it a great place to spot devices before launch. And that’s where the model number for the upcoming Realme P1 Pro was spotted.

If you’re big on benchmarks (which I think means more for midrange devices than flagships), you might want to know that the P1 Pro got a 929 and 2680 score for single and multi-core performance respectively, and that was running on 8GB RAM. This is lower than what Realme devices on the same chip do.

However, performance might improve on release software and 8GB might be just one memory option. It’s already been confirmed by the Chinese manufacturer that the phone will be running on a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset.

The Realme P1 Pro Aims To Be The Best In A Lot Of Things In Its Price Tier

Realme has let us in on a lot about the P1 Pro. First off, we know that it is going to launch in a few days; on April 15th, and leading up to that, a lot of the specifications have been confirmed. The company has also said that a lot of these specs are going to be the best in its price class, as the phone is expected to cost about $240.

We’ve talked about what we know regarding the Qualcomm chipset and at least one variant of RAM, but there’s no info on storage sizes. However, staying inside the phone, we know there will be a 5,000 mAh battery which you’ll be able to charge at up to 45W when plugged in. It’s also going to be IP65-rated and will come in Phoenix Red and Parrot Blue colorways.

Realme says you’re getting the “best curved display” at that price point. Spec-wise, they’ve released a graphic letting us know it will be a 120Hz AMOLED unit with 2160Hz PWM dimming and the highest brightness in its price tier.

It’s also going to have two cameras on the back, though the camera module gives the false impression of there being four lenses at first glance. Personally, I’m not a fan of this “trickery” since they could have just come up with a design that centers around two cameras. There are plenty of phones like that which look amazing.
