Bitcoin, the world’s largest digital currency this week topped its late-2017 high. Of course, Bitcoin is notoriously volatile, so it’s anyone’s guess where it heads from this week’s lofty levels. Conditions have changed in the past three years, however. Bitcoin is gaining acceptance from big money as a hedge against currency devaluation, even though it doesn’t get much use as a medium of exchange.
