WEST NEWBURY — The West Newbury PTO is pleased to invite the community to participate in the 33rd annual Apple Harvest Run — which is back in-person this year — to help raise money for the Dr. John C. Page School and its students.
The popular event features three races: A one-mile fun run will begin at 11 a.m. followed by a five-mile run and a 5K run at 11:30 a.m. The starting line is located on Bachelor Street across from Action Cove playground.
The event includes music, crafts, and a bouncy house at the finish line. Raffle tickets will be available, and donations also will be accepted.
The entry fee is $30 for the five-mile and 5K runs, and $15 for the one-mile run. Runners must register in advance.
Residents and community members are encouraged to attend and participate in the fun.
The Apple Harvest Run typically attracts up to 2,500 spectators, with proceeds supporting the Page School as its largest fundraising event of the year.
Funds from the event help to provide technology updates, library resources, science and math supplies, playground equipment, teacher training, cultural opportunities and field trips, reading program materials and more.
