While “early” Black Friday sales have started ever-earlier the last few years, Amazon has upped the ante this year by starting its official Black Friday promos on November 17, with everything from the mega-retailer’s own smart speakers to small kitchen appliances, headphones, toys and even Apple gear on sale until Cyber Monday.
But be warned—not every product or every deal will be worth your time. In fact, we expect just the opposite, and we advise taking a cautious, measured approach during early sales. They’re a great way to get your gift list squared away early, but shopping smart is key.
