This week Stephanie Ruehle on MSNBC and 60 Minutes on CBS broadcast what could euphemistically be called critical shows, and more accurately “hit” pieces on the cryptocurrency industry in general and Bitcoin in particular.
Ever since the candidate I supported for 2020 Democratic nomination, Elizabeth Warren, said she was raising an “Anti-Crypto Army”, I have wondered why my fellow Democrats literally hate a technology that was created to solve the problem of too big to fail banking and the financial plutocracy that crashed our economy in 2008.
Can someone make it make sense to me?
Please don’t say it facilitates money laundering and ransom ware. The USA is one of the largest holders of Bitcoin which has all been confiscated by law enforcement because all cryptocurrency transactions are public and a criminal dumb enough to use Bitcoin will have all their transactions easily traced.
Finally, I’m aware that we have ceded the field to the Republicans on this issue, but I’m trying to understand why we gave them this industry.
