Will Google follow Apple’s lead and launch a Pixel Polishing Cloth?

    Polishing Cloth

Google’s Pixel 6 series is finally official although the ordering process has been anything except what one would call a smooth process. If you have managed to place your order, though, you are probably on the prowl for that most important accessory – a polishing cloth. Many of you will have seen that Apple is now selling a Polishing Cloth for use with its devices, even going as far as creating a list of compatible devices.

Considering that Google has launched its Pixel Pass subscription which is a riff on the Apple Pass, today’s burning question is whether the search giant will announce a Pixel Polishing Cloth?

In case you were wondering, Apple actually has created a compatibility list (above) for its Polishing Cloth which is priced at $19. According to the listing, the Polishing Cloth is made from “soft, nonabrasive material” and can “clean any Apple display, including nano-texture glass, safely and effectively.” and apparently isn’t compatible with any other brand’s devices. Who are we to say that this 10-pack of microfiber cleaning cloths on Amazon that you can buy for $8 offers better value than Apple’s magical cloth.

While this is a tongue-in-cheek article poking fun at Apple, we are more than a little curious as to whether Google would be so cynical as to announce a Pixel Cleaning Cloth, perhaps with a Pixel logo on it and for a ‘more affordable’ $15? Would you buy one if they did? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
