A recent rumor points to Nothings Phone (1) being launched on July 21st with pricing starting from around €500 (~$500-550) and although the brand has not confirmed or denied the validity of the information, it has confirmed that the launch date will be announced soon. Nothing has also taken the time to tweet out some further information on the Phone (1) which confirms the presence of a feature that was first mentioned by Carl Pei during a recent interview.
Yup, that’s right, Nothing’s Phone (1) is confirmed to have wireless charging which was almost a given considering that the phone features a wireless charging coil on its rear panel. It’s not often that you find wireless charging at this price point so it will help the Phone (1) stand out a little from the other mid-rangers.
From Nothing’s tweet above, it’s confirmed that the Phone (1) will be chinless, have a frame constructed from recycled aluminum, and have a transparent rear panel. We already knew that it would be powered by a chipset produced by Qualcomm but it’s not known yet whether it will be the new Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor. Again, taking the price into consideration, we feel it’s likely to be Qualcomm’s newest mid-range chip that will power the Phone (1).
Finally, Nothing says that the Phone (1) announcement date is “coming (very) soon” and we’ll update the post as soon as a date is officially set. In the meantime, what would you like to see Nothing’s Phone (1) bring to the table?
