Withings BPM Vision Can Check Your Heart at Home

Withings announced BPM Vision today at CES 2025, a new blood pressure monitor for at-home cardiovascular health monitoring. There’s also a new Cardio Check-Up service that connects you with cardiologists to assess your ECG measurements.

Joining Withings’ comprehensive lineup of clinically-validated blood pressure monitors, the new BPM Vision aims to encourage everyone, especially older adults and patients with hypertension, to measure their systolic and diastolic blood pressure regularly. To that end, the device has a large built-in display that shows various motivational messages or reminders to take or log medication.

Thanks to color-coded feedback and step-by-step tutorials rendered on the screen, there should be no confusion as to how to take a measurement and—crucially—whether you’ve taken it correctly. The display can also show various questions asking you to log symptoms. However, Withings has said that adjusting what’s shown on the display will come at some point after BPM Vision arrives.

The BPM Vision looks more like a tech gadget than a medical device. The accessory can be used by up to eight people to take blood pressure measurements, making it ideal for families. It features Wi-Fi connectivity to upload measurements to the Withings cloud and receive data, has a six-month battery life, and is currently pending FDA clearance.

And thanks to the new Cardio Check-Up service, you can optionally have board-certified cardiologists analyze your readings to identify various arrhythmias, including AFib; you’ll receive clinical feedback within 24 hours without ever leaving your home!

This service is available on all Withings devices with ECG capabilities, including its ScanWatch smartwatch and BodyScan smart scale. Cardio Check-Up uses the Heartbeat Health service provider in the United States. In France and Germany, it’s powered by DPV Analytics.

BPM Vision costs $130 and will only be available in the United States from April 2025, with interchangeable cuffs 9-17 inches (22-42 cm) or 16-20 inches (40-52 cm) for all adult arms. Cardio Check-Up is available starting January 7, 2025, as part of the Withings+ subscriptions. The $100/year Withings+ plan includes four Cardio Check-Ups per year. Those paying for their Withings+ subscription month-to-month ($10/month) will be entitled to one Cardio Check-Up every 90 days of continuous subscription.
