Once the mechanism is installed on the inside of your cabinet, you can place your stand mixer on top — it holds up to 45 pounds — and it’ll swing out and up to a usable height. Yep: No need to haul it up off the platform and onto the counter! To get more into the nitty gritty of how it all works, the solid steel lift is screwed into the side of the walls of a lower base cabinet, and its heavy-duty springs allow it to be pulled upward. Once totally up, it has two locking catches that secure the arms in place so it doesn’t fall.
