WWDC 2023: Our Live Takeaways From Apple’s Keynote

Reports from Bloomberg and other outlets leading up to today’s event indicate that Apple’s upcoming headset, if announced, will be called Reality, Reality One, or Reality Pro. Don’t expect to order one right away—whether the headset will go on sale this month is unclear. If it does, it’s likely to launch with limited third-party software and a price tag of $3,000. We also don’t know what the headset will look like, but reports suggest that it will have a battery pack that’s worn on the waist and may be controlled by hand gestures. The operating system will likely be called xrOS (the “xr” indicates “mixed reality”).
