We were blown away when we tested the original Wyze Cam Pan, an indoor security camera that can turn 360 degrees to track people, pets, or other moving subjects. But Wyze is taking things to the next level with its Wyze Cam Pan V2, an upgrade that features full-color Night Vision thanks to a new Starlight Sensor.

Like its predecessor, the Wyze Cam Pan V2 shoots 1080p video with 360 degrees of horizontal coverage and 93 degrees of vertical range. It can automatically scan four “zones” of a room through the Pan ScanTM control, or simply sit and wait for subjects to enter its line of sight. Two-way audio lets you talk to people through the Cam Pan V2, and a built-in siren can help scare off intruders in the event of a break-in.

The Starlight Sensor is really the major upgrade here. Wyze first debuted this sensor in the Cam V3, and it provides incredibly clear, full-color video even when a room’s pitch black. Plus, this sensor doesn’t shine a freaky red IR light on your room, so it’s less intimidating to kids or guests.

You can now order the Wyze Cam Pan V2 for $40 plus shipping. Cam Plus members get a $2 discount on their order. We plan to review the Wyze Cam Pan V2 over the coming weeks, so keep and eye out if you’re still on the fence.
