As we finish wrangling our review of Xgimi’s Elfin Smart Home Projector we have news of a brand new model that bumps up your viewing experience a notch or two. Called the Aura 4K UST Laser Projector, the new device is capable of projecting a display size up to 150-inches in size from 17.3-inches away or perhaps more impressively, up to 100-inches from just 8-inches away.

The Aura Short Throw projector can display 4K/UHD content with 2400 ANSI lumens which should be bright enough for any lighting scenario. Capable of portraying up to 8.3 million individual pixels onscreen, the Aura also sports ALDP technology and supports the HDR10 format. The Aura’s 60Hz Motion Compensation technology (MEMC) ensures that your viewing experience is smooth.

Setting up the Aura projector is aided by the 8-point keystone correction feature that lets you tweak the display to your preferences with ease. If someone decides to stand near the projector when it’s displaying content it will detect the obstacle and automatically dim the laser.

And, thanks to the pairs of Harman/Kardon tweeters and woofers, each with 15W output, audio should be crisp with ample bass, supporting DTS and Dolby Audio.

Smart features are added by Android TV 10.0 being baked in, meaning that the Google Assistant, Play Store apps, and all your favorite streaming apps like Disney+, HBO Max, and YouTube are present. Chromecast functionality is built-in, as is the ability to issue voice commands. There is a wide array of connection options, including 3 HDMI 2.0, 3 USB 2.0, 1 headphone, WiFi, and Bluetooth 5.0, and you can elevate your gaming with Game Mode.

You can pick up Xgimi’s Aura 4K Short Throw Laser Projector directly from Xgimi’s online store for $2,499 via the link below.
