You know OnePlus has managed to strike a certain level of success when they’re the target of pokes and jabs on social media, and that’s exactly what we’re seeing from Xiaomi today. The company’s global VP posted the image above on Twitter, hinting at a new phone coming soon.
The snark congratulates OnePlus on their latest flagship, with a second tagline saying “regards, flagship killer 2.0.” It’s not so subtle.
The phone is also almost definitely the Redmi 20, since that second line has red highlights on K 20. The K also has a small 855 in the letter, which is most likely a reference to a Snapdragon 855.
OnePlus delivered an incredible phone with the OnePlus 7 Pro, but it’s pretty pricey compared to OnePlus’s usual phones. I don’t think Xiaomi would have an easy time winning on specs alone, but there’s plenty of room to be a competitive winner on pricing.
