Chinese smartphone brand Xiaomi has confirmed on Twitter that the global launch of its Redmi Note 11 series will be held on January 26th via an online-only event. The Redmi Note 11 series consists of a trio of models that are already on sale in China, but it remains to be seen which of them are launched in western markets.

The base Redmi Note 11 handset is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 810G chipset and sports a 6.6-inch FHD+ LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate, a 50MP main rear camera, and a big 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W charging.

The Redmi Note 11 Pro and Pro+ both feature 6.67-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED displays with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1200 nits brightness. Both are powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 920 chipset and sport a trio of rear cameras that includes a 108MP main sensor. Where the Note 11 Pro has a 5,160mAh battery and 67W wired charging the Note 11 Pro+ makes do with a smaller 4,500mAh battery but enjoys 120W charging speeds.

The virtual launch event kicks off at 12pm (GMT)/7am (EST) on January 26th via Xiaomi’s official channels:

He’s been an Android fan ever since owning an HTC Hero, with the Dell Streak being his first phablet. He currently carries a Realme GT Neo 2 in his pockets, a Lenovo Yoga Tab 11 in his backpack, and thinks nothing of lugging a 17-inch laptop around the world. When not immersed in the world of Android and gadgets, he’s an avid sports fan, and like all South Africans, he loves a good Braai (BBQ).
