Yet Another Flagship For October: The Realme GT 7 Pro Is Coming

If you’re looking to acquire a new flagship, I’ll keep saying this: wait until October is over. A lot of flagships are set for this month, with the Vivo X200 series being the first of the bunch. However, Oppo, OnePlus, Honor, and Xiaomi are all slated for flagship releases before the month runs out.

And now, today, we have confirmation of yet another joining the mix: Realme’s GT 7 Pro will be showing itself this month too. The device will only be released in China initially but it has been confirmed for a global launch before the year runs out (like some of the other flagships coming out this month).

The Realme GT 7 Pro Is Expected To Land In China Before The End Of October

October is a busy month but we’re only at the halfway point so you’re going to need to strap in. Realme, a Chinese manufacturer known for extremely competitive devices and ridiculous charging speeds is getting set to release its next flagship, the Realme GT 7 Pro. While there’s no official launch date, the company has confirmed that the device is going to be announced for the Chinese market before the end of this month.

If you’re looking for official info regarding the specs of the device, there are two things that have been revealed: it’ll be coming with a top Snapdragon chip—quite obviously the Snapdragon 8 Elite—and it will have a periscope telephoto lens. The company wants you to know you won’t need to compromise between performance and imaging; though you don’t have to compromise with other flagships, so that’s a bit of an empty statement.

What Specs Will The Realme GT 7 Pro Come Packing?

If you don’t mind listening to what “unofficial” reports have to say about the specifications, then we know a substantial amount about what we can expect from the upcoming flagship.

We’re expecting a Sony LYT-600-powered 3x periscope telephoto camera, a 1.5K 120Hz AMOLED display, and an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. That’s nothing quite out of the ordinary but it is also expected to come with IP69 certification, which is rather exceptional—though, it soon won’t be, as it seems a lot of Chinese manufacturers have started prioritizing it; the Vivo X200 which launched a few days ago is IP69-certified.

Realme has never been a slouch in the battery department and you can expect a lot from them in this category as usual. According to Digital Chat Station on Weibo, it’ll come with a 6,500mAh battery, which is massive—that’s likely the largest of the current cycle. Plus, it pairs that with 120W fast charging (not quite 320W, but still fast) while somehow still getting thinner than the last generation. All hail silicon battery technology.

You Can Expect The Realme GT 7 Pro To Find Its Way To Global Markets, Fortunately

When a phone has got your mouth watering as much as this one has got mine, it’d be an absolute shame to keep it within the borders of China. Thankfully, we know that the Realme GT 7 Pro is going to be launched globally and we expect its arrival sometime before 2024 closes off forever.
