You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet but here’s a first look at the Phone (1)’s rear panel

Having confirmed the official launch date (July 12th) of its first smartphone, Nothing is continuing to drip-feed little details about the Phone (1) in the meantime with the latest teaser being the first clear image of its rear panel. Nothing has previously teased the rear panel of the Phone (1) by releasing images such as the one above that has a pair of birds perched on the device. This latest image shows a bit more, thankfully.

Nothing

To say it’s an unusual design would be an understatement, but then we expected (and hoped) that Nothing would follow through on its promise of giving the Phone (1) a unique look. Eminently visible is the wireless charging coil that sits in the middle of the panel, as well as the lighting strips that were previously teased a while back.

The dual cameras, yes dual not triple or quadruple, are housed in a short vertical strip on the top left-hand corner. While some may be disappointed that the Phone (1) only has a pair of camera sensors, I hope it’s the case that Nothing has chosen quality over quantity.

The sheer whiteness of the finish is somewhat jarring, in a stormtrooper-kinda-way but it will help the Phone (1) stand out from the crowd. Other things we already know about the Phone (1) are that it will be powered by a Snapdragon processor (probably the recently launched Snapdragon 7 Gen 1) and that it’s expected to cost in the region of $500. We have a feeling that Nothing will reveal further tidbits in the run-up to the July 12th launch event.
