The Google Pixel 9a was made official on March 19th, which was over three weeks ago. However, if you’ve been interested in getting one, you might realize that it simply wasn’t available to buy or to pre-order. The reason for that seemed to be overheating issues that Google acknowledged a “small number of units” were experiencing.
That finally seems to be sorted out, and starting today, April 10th, you can finally get your hands on the Google Pixel 9a. The best part is, as with most major smartphone launches, there are a lot of deals and offers to take advantage of if you know the right place to look. Worry not, as I’ve compiled a bunch of the best right here for you.
Google Is Offering Great Trade-In Value and a $100 Credit Until April 23rd
The first stop to look for Google Pixel 9a deals has to be with Google itself, and that’s not a bad place to be at all. Google gives you the option to buy the phone in all available colorways, storage variants, and even lets you buy it attached to a carrier. But besides the luxury of choice, you can also save some money.
With a trade-in, you can get up to $400 off the $499 price tag of the Pixel 9a. Last year’s Pixel 8a in good condition will get you $250 off, but a flagship device like the Pixel 8 Pro will bring that up to $400. Some phones, like the Pixel Fold, will get you $499 in trade-in value, but according to Google’s fine print, any value above the $400 maximum for this offer will be issued in store credit.
Oh, and speaking of store credit, if you buy an unlocked Google Pixel 9a, you will get $100 in Google Store credit. This deal is valid as long as you purchase before April 23rd.
Buy the Google Pixel 9a on Google Fi and Get the Phone for Free
And still on Google, if you happen to buy the Pixel 9a and activate it on the tech giant’s Google Fi Wireless carrier (as a new customer), you will get a total of $499 back, in monthly bill credits split over 24 months. That basically means by the end of that period, you got the phone for free.
AT&T Will Let You Get the Google Pixel 9a for About $400 Off, Plus Free Pixel Buds
Maybe you’re more of an AT&T person. If that’s the case, we know that carriers never disappoint when it comes to offers on new smartphones.
If you buy a Google Pixel 9a on a qualifying payment plan, pay the full sales tax and activation fee, and activate the phone on an eligible plan, you will get the device for just $2.99 every month. In total, AT&T will pay off a total of $391.36 in bill credits, letting you get the phone for just a little over $100. However, just keep in mind that this only applies to the 128GB model of the phone.
You’ll also get the Pixel Buds A-Series added to your cart automatically, for free, but this freebie only lasts until April 24th.
Verizon Will Give You the Google Pixel 9a For Free on myPlan
We reported on this yesterday, but if you want the 128GB Google Pixel 9a in either Obsidian or Iris, Verizon will let you get it for free if you start up a new line on Unlimited Ultimate, Unlimited Plus, or Unlimited Welcome. Over 36 months, you’ll have a $499.99 bill credit applied to eventually get the device for free. Plus, free overnight shipping added to the mix never hurt anyone.
You Can Get the Pixel 9a for Free on T-Mobile, With the Google Pixel Buds A-Series Thrown in for Free
There’s nothing better than getting things bundled in with a phone that you were already super willing to buy on its own. If you buy the Google Pixel 9a online from T-Mobile and add the Pixel Buds A-Series to your cart too, you’ll be able to get the entire $99 price tag off.
At the same time, if you buy the Google Pixel 9a from T-Mobile and either activate a new line or trade in an older eligible smartphone, you’ll be able to get the entire value of the phone paid off in bill credits. What’s even better is that with the new line option, T-Mobile is currently waiving its usual $35 device connection charge when activating a new line online.
