The Eufy Omni S1 Pro Is Costly, But It Is Capable

Now, I’m going to cut to the chase and tell you that this robot is expensive. It will cost $1,499 at retail, but the different Kickstarter early backer rewards can get you as much as 40% off the retail price.

Now, with that out of the way, let’s discuss why the Omni S1 Pro is worth that much money. It does three main things: it vacuums your floors as expected, it washes your floors, and it self-cleans.

Vacuuming

Eufy, an Anker subbrand, specializes in smart home products like security cameras and smart locks. It also sells robot vacuums, the Omni S1 Pro being its latest model.

There’s nothing much to say about its vacuuming function beyond the fact it uses 8,000 pascals of suction. That won’t knock a full vacuum out of the water (the typical ones can range from 20,000 to 30,000 Pa), but considering the Omni S1 Pro is several times smaller than most household vacuums, that’s impressive (this Eufy handheld vac only hits 5,500 Pa).

Plus, it navigates with Eufy’s 3D MatrixEye tech to identify household items, pets, and people and steer clear. It’ll basically map out your house over time so it can always navigate precisely.

Mopping

The “Turbowash Roller Mop” is what this Anker-owned company wants to shine the spotlight on, though. The mop is 290mm long (the longest in its class) and rotates 170 times each minute, with a lot of downward force. So yeah, this doesn’t just mop your floor but scrubs to get stains out.

Plus, fill its tank with water and cleaning solution, let it clean your floors, and it will automatically squeeze out the dirty water into a separate tank. Plus, the mop module can lift up to 12mm off the ground when it automatically detects a carpet. So, if you see the Omni S1 Pro straying towards a carpet, you don’t need to worry about the carpet getting wet.

It even comes with an ozone generator that creates the gas using just tap water. This sterilizes the floor and the rolling mop, killing 99.99% of germs, so it cleans far beyond the naked eye.

Self-Cleaning

This robot vacuum comes with the Uniclean Station. This serves as a charging base, and the robot will automatically dock once its work is done. However, the station is also a place for it to empty its wastewater and dirt stores and even clean the mop. It will even top up its cleaning solution on its own.

The station can go over two months without you needing to change the bag, so you can pretty much set the Omni S1 Pro loose on your house and forget about it for a long time. While the RRP of the Omni S1 Pro is $1,499, you can snag it for as little as $999 via Eufy’s Kickstarter page. You can also wait for it to hit Eufy’s online store in May.
