Zotac’s Tiny PCs Get a Performance Upgrade and Wi-Fi 6

Most tiny PCs on the market are somewhat underpowered, but Zotac’s popular ZBOX C series has long been one of the more capable options. And while it has received several updates over the years, the latest model packs a bigger punch with 13th Gen Intel processors and more.

We considered previous C series generations as a solid alternative to the Mac Mini, and that trend continues with the latest generation available this week. That’s because the newest Zotac ZBOX C series compact PC comes with Intel’s powerful 13th Gen CPUs, faster DDR5-5200, along with faster internet speeds thanks to Wi-Fi 6. Remember that these are still laptop-grade processors, but you will get to choose between a Core i3, Core i5, all the way up to the Core i7-1355U with a 10-core and 12-threads, all in a compact and fanless setup. To be more specific, you can choose from the base model CI629 Nano, all the way up to the 13th Gen Core i7-1355U powered CI669 Nano.

Aside from the spec bump, these are essentially the same tiny PC you already know and love from Zotac. By that, I mean it comes in the same compact (204 x 129 x 68mm (8″ x 5.1″ x 2.7″) box with plenty of holes for airflow, a slew of ports, and much more. As you can see above, the back has the same configuration as previous generations, giving tiny PC users plenty of options.

Each unit is ready for VESA mounts and packs Intel Iris Xe Graphics, Thunderbolt 4, and a wide array of ports. Zotac said in a blog post, “Since there are no moving parts in the C Series nano lineup, these Mini PCs offer a completely silent operation but also provide maximum longevity and increased day-to-day operability with minimal wear-and-tear.”

The upgraded C series only comes as a barebones system and is available starting today in select regions. Those looking for even more power may want to consider Zotac’s new E series, which also got announced this week, which offers even more power and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070-level graphics.
