All married couples have at least a few wedding gifts that they immediately relegated to the basement (clunky crystal goblets, a chintzy engraved cutting board—you know the stuff). And while a KitchenAid mixer or Le Creuset Dutch oven would be the perfect gift for many, it’s no use to the couple that already has one. Sticking to the couple’s registry is usually your safest bet.
