Here’s Samsung’s List Of Galaxy Devices Getting One UI 6.1.1

This year, we’re not getting Android 15 at the time that we usually do. We also have no word on when we can expect the One UI 7 beta, despite initially hearing whispers that it should have launched around the end of July. Software updates aren’t going the way we want this year, right?

Well, to make things a little more fortunate, One UI 6.1.1 which launched with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6, will be finding its way to some of the other devices in Samsung’s portfolio and we now have official confirmation from the company itself as to which ones will be blessed.

Samsung’s One UI 6.1.1 Will Be Making Its Way To Flagship Phones And Tablets Of The Last Few Years

One UI 6.1.1 is the latest step in Samsung’s One UI journey, and it is a rather significant one since it is the first major update to come after One UI 6.1, which was heavily anticipated because of all the Galaxy AI features it brought with it. One UI 6.1.1 is getting the chance to further refine the AI experience so quite naturally, I’m excited to see what it brings. The question is, will it even come to my phone, the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra?

Well, Samsung has saved us the trouble of having to postulate about which phones this update will be coming to and provided a comprehensive list of all the phones and tablets that will be blessed with the update. Here they are:

  • Galaxy S24 Ultra
  • Galaxy S24+
  • Galaxy S24
  • Galaxy S23 Ultra
  • Galaxy S23+
  • Galaxy S23
  • Galaxy S23 FE
  • Galaxy Z Fold 5
  • Galaxy Z Flip 5
  • Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra
  • Galaxy Tab S9+
  • Galaxy Tab S9

At the moment, that’s the exhaustive list. It’s not sure whether any other devices not on this list will be getting the update at a much later date, but it is clear my phone is not part of the first wave. It’s okay, I can take the pain.

Galaxy S24 Series Already Getting The Update In Korea; Should Roll Out In Other Regions Tomorrow

Samsung has already started rolling out One UI 6.1.1 to S24 series devices in South Korea, and users in Europe and North America will start getting the update on September 9th (which is tomorrow). If you have any of the 2023 devices on the list, there’s no word on exactly when you’re going to be getting the update beyond word that it’ll be arriving in the coming weeks. Hopefully that means within September.

One UI 6.1.1 Brings Some New AI Features As Expected

If you’re a big AI person, you’re going to like what One UI 6.1.1 has to bring to the table. For instance, Interpreter is getting a new “Listening Mode” which is going to make it possible for you to listen to someone in a language of your choice — think of how helpful that might be when listening to presentations.

Chat Assist will also be gaining a composer mode to craft emails and posts from scratch, using the styling of your choice. Suggested Replies will also be added to the OS with a new update.
