Rocket League Sideswipe Season 1 is live worldwide

     Rocket League Sideswipe

It’s only a couple of days ago since Rocket League Sideswipe became available to download worldwide on the Play Store but if you were hoping for an extended practice session before Season 1 went live we have some bad but ultimately good news for you. You guessed it, Season 1 of Rocket League Sideswipe on Android and iOS is now live along with a Rocket League Crossover Event that will run until January 25th, 2022.

If you have been practicing and building up your ranking it will, unfortunately, be reset so that everyone starts on the same level in Season 1. Winning Competitive Matches will increase your rank but be warned, it will decrease if you lose. Players will receive rewards at the end of Season 1 based on their ranks.

“Starting today, you’ll be able to unlock items in Rocket League by completing Challenges in Sideswipe during our Rocket League Crossover Event! Log into Sideswipe with the same Epic Games Account that you use for Rocket League and complete two Challenges that will unlock Nuhai Inverted Wheels and the Wow! Goal Explosion in Rocket League and Sideswipe! These Challenges will be available to complete until January 25. Plus, unlock the song “Water Resistant” by Anamanaguchi as a Player Anthem in Rocket League just by logging into Sideswipe before the Challenges expire!”

How to play? Well, you can use the touch controls on your smartphone or tablet or connect your favorite gaming controller via Bluetooth if that’s your preference.

The Crossover Event starts today with players who complete two challenges in Sideswipe receiving the Nuhai Inverted Wheels and the Wow! Goal Explosion in Sideswipe as well as in the console game. Players must be logged into Sideswipe with the same Epic Games Account used for Rocket League in order to unlock the contents of the crossover event.

Rocket Pass is also live, helping to unlock customization items just by playing online matches and earning XP. If you are enjoying the songs played while you play Rocket League Sideswipe you can grab the soundtrack over on Monstercat.
