XGIMI’s Halo+ Smart Portable Projector with Android TV baked-in is now on sale

XGIMI’s Halo+ is the brand’s latest smart portable projector to hit the shelves, sporting Android TV, a more powerful LED that produces 900 ANSI lumens, automatic keystone adjustment, and a powerful battery that lets users watch the big match or latest movie indoors or out. Despite the high specs, the Halo+ is now on sale for just $849 on Amazon and directly from the XGIMI store.

We’ve got the Halo+ in for review and are currently putting the final touches on the review of another XGIMI projector, the recently launched Elfin.

Running Android TV out of the box means that the Halo+ has access to all of your favorite streaming apps, the content of which you can view in up to 1080p resolution with a picture size up to 300-inches in size. Audio is provided by the pair of 5W Harman Kardon speakers and you’ll also find a 3.5mm audio jack and Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity. The built-in battery is good for 2 hours of playback, and you’ll find 16GB of storage and 2GB of RAM present for slick performance.

“Halo+ was designed with the intent to make a projector as capable in the house as it is on-the-go,” said Tex Yang, vice president of global sales at XGIMI corporate. “We packed Halo+ with our best technology to make the most powerful, portable projector that is easy to use for beginners while satisfying the needs of the most discerning technophiles,” he added.

Thanks to the automatic keystone adjustment, both vertical and horizontal keystone corrections are done without the need for manual input, although the option is there if you insist on fiddling with the projected image. Obstacle avoidance is also built-in, which means the Halo+ plus will adjust the image to avoid anything popping up in its path. HDR10+ is supported and there’s a low-latency gaming mode in case you want to hook up a gaming console via the HDMI slot.

Priced at $849, the XGIMI Halo+ Smart Portable Projector is already on sale in the US on Amazon and the XGIMI store, with other regions set to follow suit in the coming weeks.
